Musiq Soulchild Taking A Break From Singing

After releasing six albums, singer Musiq Soulchild has decided to take a break from singing. He wants to concentrate more on the production and writing side of things. Good idea Musiq!

In an interview Monday Musiq said, “I think I want to take a step back a little bit as an artist.”

He’s already been working with artists like Chrisette Michele and Bow Wow.

Musiq said,“I’m not going to stop performing or being an artist. I do enjoy singing and all of that, but it takes away from being creative. At least with being a writer-producer you can constantly create and make music and things like that.”

He is also writing a book about love, relationships and  music in stores this summer.
