Fire Officials Investigate Large Brush Fire in Maryland

Fire officials are trying to determine what sparked an 18-acre brush fire that threatened 60 homes in Joppatowne over the weekend.
Firefighters were called to the site near Dembytown and Trimble roads about 12:45 p.m. Sunday and had the flames under control by early evening. About 60 homes in the area were temporarily evacuated.
