Maryland’s Department of the Environment is encouraging residents on most of the Eastern Shore to conserve water because of a lack of rainfall in recent months. During a drought watch, the department says it increases monitoring of water supplies as well as encouraging conservation.
MDE says water conditions are normal in the rest of the state.
