A Two Year Sailabration In Baltimore Commemorates The War of 1812

200 years ago The Battle of Baltimore  gave life to the words of The Star Spangled Banner in the war of 1814, Fort McHenry became a historical site.

This weekend it’s lights camera, action as Baltimore kicks off the two-year commemorative bicentennial of the war of 1812. The city welcomes ships from around the world and thousands of visitors will converge at the inner harbor where activities are planned for entertainment, enlightenment and fun.

Make it a family affair, enjoy the free kids zone all weekend at McKeldin Square, pirates stories told on ships or simply take in the free air show preformed by the men and women of The Blue Angels.

Other festivities at the Inner Harbor include live music, cooking demonstrations and food sampling.

Enjoy the Adventure Zone, a 70-foot Ferris wheel at Rash Field. Family fun to be had with street performers throughout Fells Point and The Inner Harbor it’s all at your finger tips.
