Finally back to Chad Johnson the NFL Player formerly known as Ochocinco has given his famous moniker the boot on Monday at a Broward County, Fla., courthouse.  The Miami Dolphin wide receiver officially changed his name back due in part to his marriage to Evelyn Lozada. It was rumored that his new wife Reality TV Star Lozada, did not want to get married and take on a fictitious name.

“Ochocinco,” which means “85″ in Spanish began using the attention-grabbing name back in 2006, because he was inspired by the number that appeared on the back of his jersey. The 34-year-old has been hinting at changing his last name for the past two years and actually stopped using Ochocinco two weeks ago on his Twitter account.

He recently told ESPN.com that, “I’m refocused and locked in. Time to get back to the old me,” adding that his uniform will say ‘Johnson.’ “I’m just doing it for the marriage. It has nothing to do with football. Ochocinco is still in me. It’s just my middle name.” He kept his name but later said the comments were made in fun and he was never serious about a name change.
