The first time I met Whitney, she was barely 20 years old. It was after her first concert in DC. She did “Saving All My Love For You”, and blew us out of our seats. She flashed that million dollar smile and the love affair started.
That first Album is a landmark album for many reasons. Sales, number of hits it produced and so on.
Then we found out she could act ! Was there anything she couldn’t do ? Turns out there was something she couldn’t do, act like she had some sense.
Friends, family, fans, and even her mentor Clive Davis begged her to “slow down”.
The question that comes to my mind is, does a person have the right to party right to the grave ? Do we have the right to stop them ?
I dont know the answer, but I hope we figure it out before another superstar partys their way to the funeral home.
