Columbia, Md based eco-luxury beauty brand Shea Radiance has just been launched in Target stores nationwide. Supporters of the line came out for a night of luxury at the Historic Oakland Manor. Among those in attendance were natural hair care bloggers, beauticians and even Project Runway winner and fashion designer Korto Momolu.

Shea Radiance creators, husband an wife duo Shola and Funlayo Alabi, started the line in the kitchen of their own home. The Nigerian immigrants were looking for a natural solution to alleviate their son’s extremely dry skin and eczema and found the remedy in unrefined shea butter and the rest is beauty history. Shea Radiance re-invests 10% of net profits to female shea producers and supports a number of co-ops in Nigeria. Shea Radiance has also grown from one main line, Shea Radiance Body, and added Shea Radiance Hair and Shea Radiance Spa.

Creator Funlayo Alabi had this to say about Shea Radiance —

“When you give people the best you have to offer, then sooner or later opportunity can open doors and that’s exactly what happened. We want to continue to make natural products that work and will make women happy with their hair, skin, and just bring joy to people’s lives.”

The event’s ambiance was breathtaking. Each room had a different theme that was comprised of complimentary massages, manicures, pedicures, makeup artistry and station to smell, feel and experience the products.
