On Thanksgiving night, ABC debuted the much anticipated Spike Lee-directed look back at Michael Jackson’s BAD 25 documentary. This documentary gives a first time look at the making of all of the epic songs of the “Bad” album from”Smooth Criminal,” to “Another Part Of Me” and “The Way You Make Me Feel,” the stories behind the videos and the songs are revealed for the first time through the eyes of those who lived it, made it, and were inspired by it.
Spike Lee gathered those who knew and admired the “King Of Pop” the most. The documentary includes commentary from record execs and artists. The hour long special reflected on Michael’s influence on pop culture and how he changed the landscape of pop music in general. The documentary also featured never-before-seen footage of Michael and some of his most intimate studio sessions.
The on-air version runs at 64 minutes and the full DVD contains over two hours of footage. It will be on sale in time for Christmas. Check it out the TV version below.
