2013 is shaping up to be Beyonce best year ever  from her stunning performance at the presidential inauguration to her jaw-dropping Super Bowl halftime show, and the airing of her documentary Life is But a Dream on HBO in February. With a new tour “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” starting in April and an album due out at the end of the year, she isn’t slowing down any time soon.

In her latest candid  interview she sat down with Shape magazine to discuss how she lost the  baby weight and what her normal meals consist of.

Below are some excerpts:

On Loosing The Baby Weight:

After becoming a mother and gaining 57 pounds during her pregnancy.  Beyonce tells the magazine that she  didn’t have a lot of time to lose the weight because she scheduled a show three months after she gave birth. Beyoncé says a healthy low calorie diet and dance workouts helped her reclaim her pre-baby body. To drop the pounds, the Grammy winner stayed away from red meat, ate a lot of fish and replaced pasta and rice with quinoa.

How She Eats Daily:

I always have breakfast, say, scrambled egg whites, a vegetable smoothie, or whole-grain cereal with low-fat milk,” she says. “For lunch and dinner, I eat a lot of fish and vegetables. And throughout the day, I try to stay hydrated… I always treat myself to one meal on Sundays when I can have whatever I want. Usually it’s pizza, which is my favorite indulgence.
