Confirmed and ready to roll, Fantasia continues to expand her craft. She’s headed back to broadway. The multi Grammy Winner becomes part of a rotating roster of artist that will guest star and headline the Cotton Club jazz tribute.
The Broadway play of “Around Midnight” a tribute to the famous Cotton Club of Harlem saluting jazz greats like Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Sarah Vaughn and other legendary performers. Fantasia Barrino, will attend a series of promotional celebrations to honor the musicians and performers. In fact, there will be twenty or more performers in the Broadway musical “Around Midnight” Harlem’s legendary jazz nightlife.
“Around Midnight revisits the music of Duke Ellington in his original arrangements. Conceived by Jack Viertel, the show will feature 25 vocalists and dancers performing numbers set against a backdrop of Langston Hughes’ poetry”.
