Marion Christopher Barry, the son of former Washington DC mayor Marion Barry, was charged with driving under the influence and possession of marijuana in Virginia earlier this month.
Authorities said, police observed 33-year-old Marion Christopher Barry driving a gray PT Cruiser erratically in Hampton about 9:10 p.m. Aug. 16. After police stopped Barry, police said they found marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed more marijuana and synthetic marijuana.
Barry was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of synthetic marijuana, reports DC’s NBC4.
He was released on his own recognizance. Court date is Nov. 13.
