Sheila Stewart killed in car accident

It is with a heavy heart that we report Sheila Stewart, Radio One‘s own personality, has reportedly been killed in a car accident Thursday morning in Georgia. Regional VP and General Manager for Radio One Chris Wegmann confirmed the news.

“The Radio One family is deeply saddened at the untimely passing of our employee and we extend our sincere condolences to her family and friends,” remarked Cathy Hughes, Founder and Chairperson Radio One, Inc. “A talented colleague, Sheila’s contributions will long be felt by her Radio One family and the lives she touched through her various charitable connections and community organizations.”

Sheila Stewart reported the news on the Tom Joyner Morning Show from 6am-10am M-F and is on-air 6am- 6:3oam on Sundays. Sheila Stewart was an award winning media conglomerate whose career as a Radio, TV and Print Media Personality spans over 20 years.
