Love, art and good music are some of my favorite things. I experienced all three at the Baltimore Love Project fundraiser in Fells Point. The Love + Art event held at the Broom Corn Building this past Tuesday, was presented by, Ciroc Vodka and Sonje’ Productions. The Baltimore Love Project organization uses themed murals to spread the message of love in Baltimore city. To date there are 20 murals created by artist Michael Owen who uses the design of four hands to spell out the word “love” on the walls of various buildings in Baltimore, MD. Various taste-makers  promoters and socialites were greeted to the sounds of DJ Aktive who was accompanied by a live bass player. The duo filled the air with classic tunes that had those in attendance on the dance floor. A live interactive paint section encouraged those in attendance to lend there artistic skills to various paintings all guest were encouraged to add something to the art work. Guest sipped on cocktails provided by Ciroc alongside complimentary hors d’oeuvres until it was time for the auction. The auction featured painted autographed Under Armour sneakers donated by NBA Golden State Warrior Stephen Curry and Portland Trailblazer Will Barton. “For Rent” boutique owner, Daniel Davis painted the sneakers that were auctioned off for $200 dollars each. The money that was raised went towards raising awareness for the Baltimore Love Project mission. Check out pictures that photographer Alexander Dobson captured below:
