Perhaps it was because offensive touchdowns have been relatively far and few between, the Baltimore local media has named Baltimore Ravens placekicker Justin Tucker the team Most Valuable Player for the 2013 season.  With the relative scarcity of  touchdowns scored by the Ravens this season, Tucker has been a major offensive scoring weapon this season.   After missing his first 2 field goal attempts against the Cleveland Browns earlier this season, Tucker successfully reeled off 33 consecutive field goals, including a total of 6 out of 6 attempts in an 18-16 victory over the Detroit Lions on Monday night, December 16th.  Unfortunately his streak ended on Sunday, December 22nd with a missed 37 yarder in a loss to the New England Patriots.  However the media collectively felt that his total body of work this season warranted his being selected as the Baltimore Ravens team MVP for the 2013 season.
