After coming off an 85-win, 77-loss season (tied with the Yankees for 3rd place), the Baltimore Orioles seem to have parlayed that winning season into doing relatively nothing that amounts to any significant improvements to the ball club.  With a core of players that include center fielder Adam Jones, first baseman Chris Davis, third baseman Manny Machado, shortstop J. J. Hardy, and catcher Matt Wieters, the Orioles seemed to be one or two major players away from being a major contender for the American League East championship, currently being held by the defending World Series Champion Boston Red Sox.  Unfortunately, the overwhelming number of players the O’s have signed during this offseason are not known outside the world of Google.  With monies generated from attendance, parking, merchandising, and ownership of the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network,  when are the Birds going to sign a premier pitcher, or a power hitting outfielder that we’ve heard of?  I’m just saying.
