Repo ManRepo man, 23-year-old Junior Jordan Montero was shot to death in Fauquier County, Virginia. Montero, of Hyattsville, Maryland, worked construction and as a security guard. Two weeks ago, he took the job of repossessing cars to save money for a wedding ring for his wife and buy a home for his family.

Shortly after midnight Friday, Montero was trying to repossess a 10-year-old pickup truck on Conde Road in Fauquier County. Authorities said the owner of the truck, 53-year-old Carroll Gregg, came out shooting and the tow truck and pickup truck ended up in a water-filled ditch. Divers tried to rescue Montero, but there was nothing they could do to save him. When a sheriff’s sergeant reached the scene, Gregg the shooter, pointed to the ditch and said, “He’s in there dead.”

Gregg said, “I shot him. I shot, fell and shot again. It was an accident.” Gregg is charged with second-degree murder. Montero’s body will be taken to his native Dominican Republic for burial.
