Well, the stand off at Silver Spring Discovery Channel headquarters has ended with three freed hostages and the perpetrator James Lee shot and in custody. According to a police spokesman, the suspect entered the building’s main entrance “wearing what appeared to be metallic canister devices on his front and back. He also pulled a handgun out and was waving a handgun.”
Reports also indicate that in 2008 Lee held a protest in front of Discovery Channel. The issues appear to have been surrounding Discovery Channel’sprogramming. In fact, a manifesto surfaced on the internet which made claims against the channel saying the company was not doing enough to discourage the growth of civilization and global warming. In The words of Gunman James Lee “stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants.” Civilization must be exposed for the filth it is,” the 1,149-word statement says.
