Bobby Bennett from WOL in DC could rock the box. When you came in the radio station if he was on you could hear him stomping his feet. Jerry Bledsoe worked on WBLS and WHUR. Gregory Hines worked on WOL they where all good but Bobby!!!
2. Joe Tamburro AKA Butter Ball
I remember coming to philly for the Penn Relays and Butter Ball was on WDAS. When I finally met him I was shocked that he was white. And Philly loved some Butter Ball.
3. George Woods
George Woods the man with the goods on WDAS in Philly also he owned the radio and owned the town.
4. Chris Moore-Brother Matt-Debbe Parker-Sly Jock
When I left Pittsburgh the guy second from the left Brother Matt was doing afternoon drive on the station I started out on WAMO. Sly Jock’s daughter KeKe is in radio on 92Q Baltimore.
5. A. C. aka Anthony Carlton
AC is second from the left, back in the day when I was just getting into radio he was rocking WAMO in my home town Pittsburgh. I see Phylis Hyman in the picture.
6. Frankie Crocker
At one time he owned New York City. Some called him hollywood, he called him self Frankie Crocker the chief rocker.
