Whoopi Goldberg apologized to the New York Times this morning for calling an article in the paper — which talked about African Americans who have won Oscars but did not mention her — “sloppy journalism.”

The article discussed the lack of black nominees in this year’s Oscars, but did not reference Goldberg’s 1990 win for Ghost.
