It’s time to leave when:
1.  There is abuse involved.  Whether it’s physical, sexual or emotional abuse, that is a clear sign that the relationship needs to end.  Abusers nearly always escalate the abuse.  It’s a vicious cycle that traps the victim into uncertainty, low self esteem and an inability to trust his or her own judgment.  Unfortunately, this is usually when the relationship continues long after it should have ended.
2.  You’ve grown apart and neither of you wants to work on improving the relationship. This one’s fairly simple.  You can usually end the relationship amicably with a no-fault divorce.  Many times, couples stay together long after the relationship is over for the sake of the children.  You’re not doing anyone any favors by doing that.  Studies have shown that kids need one present, loving person in their lives to grow into emotionally stable adults.  They don’t need an intact nuclear family if it’s not a happy one.
3.  You have serious problems- usually around lacking trust- and one or both of you are unwilling to work on the issues at hand.  In order to heal these kinds of problems, most people need professional help.  Seeing a therapist or a life coach to help you heal is a sign of strength, not weakness.  Just understand that if you don’t want to heal them during this particular relationship, they will surely resurface in your next one.

Vanessa Bryant wife of Kobe Bryant filed for divorce Friday afternoon, citing “irreconcilable difference.

 TMZ is reporting the following:

Vanessa — who stuck by Kobe after he was charged with sexually assaulting a Colorado woman in 2003 — decided to end the marriage because she believes Kobe has been unfaithful … again.

As one source puts it, “She’s been dealing with these incidents for a long time and has been a faithful wife, but she’s finally had enough,” adding, “This one is the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

And our sources say … Kobe “desperately” wants to win Vanessa back and will do “whatever it takes” to save their 10 1/2 year marriage.

According to the legal docs, Vanessa is asking for joint custody of their 2 daughters — 8-year-old Natalia and 5-year-old Giana — but Vanessa is asking that Kobe get visitation rights, which means she wants the kids in her care most of the time.

We’ve learned the couple has NO PRENUP, so 29-year-old Vanessa is entitled to half of the Kobe empire from the last decade.

She’s also requesting spousal support … which is typical in divorce cases.  Kobe, who filed his response to the divorce minutes after Vanessa filed her petition, says he will pay her spousal support.

According to the docs, Vanessa is being repped by disso-queen Laura Wasser and attorney Samantha Klein. Wasser reps oodles of celebs, including Britney Spears, Angelina Joile, Maria Shriver and Kim Kardashian.

Kobe went to the Jay-Z concert Tuesday night in L.A. without Vanessa, and people who saw him there say he looked miserable.

Vanessa signed the divorce petition on December 1.  Kobe signed his response on December 7.

Demi Moore 49, has flied for divorce from Ashton Kutcher 33, after six years of marriage. Demi Moore told The Associated Press she’s doing it with “great sadness and a heavy heart.”

She said, “as a woman, a mother and a wife, there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life.”

The announcement comes on the heels of Us Weekly’s tell-all interview with a blonde named Sara Leal who claims to have enjoyed condom-less sex with Ashton Sept. 24, which was his sixth wedding anniversary.

• Get clear. How can you know what is expected of you if you are not clear about what exactly you are trying to achieve? In the workplace you must get clear direction from your superior. Be specific in your wants, needs and desires so that you can begin to focus your energy toward those things and most certainly, when you believe that it is possible for you then you will begin to see opportunities open for you in the direction of your vision.
• Set forth your intentions. You cannot hit a target if you cannot see it.  Once you have become clear about what you want from your career and in your love life then you can start to visualize yourself in that space. If you have been unfulfilled in past relationships, with lovers and workplace it will be challenging get out of the cycle of being unfulfilled. Visualizing yourself as you would like to experience your relationships and successful career opens your mind on a subconscious level to the belief that obtaining these things is actually a possibility for YOU. Hitting your target is much easier if you can see what it is that you are aiming for, so set forth your intentions.
• Seek out necessary resources. When you stop learning you should be dead – I mean that literally. The time to learn is now and always. Read books, go to seminars, buy programs that will help you advance, attend retreats, talk to your mentors, have lunch with the CEO of your company and other successful people in life, and do whatever it takes to develop the necessary tools for obtaining massive success, abundance and overflowing love. No need to wait until the need arises to learn a new skill, by that time you are already behind the curve. Add the knowledge to your toolbox and when needed you will instinctively use what you already know.
• Push beyond your limitations. While comfort zones are comfortable, they are also limiting.  Sometimes we get caught in these comfort zones and mistake them for what is “meant to be” but you’ll find that if you are willing to push yourself out of this space you will likely be met with success and happiness beyond your imagination. If you’ve only ever dated one type of person then open yourself to others. African American women are notorious for this by exclusively dating within the race, but the love of her life may not be of her nationality and by limiting herself; she’ll never have the opportunity to find out. If you’ve only ever worked one type of job, it may be time to adapt your skill set and look into another. There’s the old adage that says if you do what you’ve always done then you’ll get what you’ve always gotten. That couldn’t be more truthful. Is it time for you to push beyond your limitations?
• Go above and beyond. Don’t be afraid to take on new challenges without being instructed to do so.  Take the initiative to do more than is expected of you. Since mediocrity is the norm your enthusiastic efforts to do more will be noticed and presumably rewarded. More importantly, you will begin to have higher standards for yourself which will undoubtedly set you apart from the rest. And as you know, top quality positions take top quality people to fill them; professionally and personally. If it is your intention to secure a worthy position in your career and love life, then it is up to you to standout from the crowd.
• Take action now. Procrastination can be your worst enemy. The most common reasons that people procrastinate is because they don’t know where/how to begin, it appears overwhelming, they haven’t obtained the proper resources and they are afraid of change. Rarely is it because they are lazy. Laziness is something completely different. There is no better time than now to take action toward achieving your own success and happiness. NOW is the right time to get clear, set forth your intentions, seek out the necessary resources, push beyond your limitations, and to go above and beyond. Are you not worth a successful career, a happy home and enjoying the love of your life? It is up to you to put your plan in motion.

Now that the gag order has been lifted, Steve is finally able to speak out about the accusations.  During the show, Steve mentioned that he only wanted to clear his name, and not bash his ex-wife in the media because he raises all of his sons to respect their mother and women. Such a gentleman!

Barbara Walters and Elizabeth Hasselbeck read through the details of his recent court battle to ‘The View’s’ audience. The judge ruled that Mary was not left broke or homeless after their divorce, that Steve is the primary guardian of their son, and that their divorce was due to “irreconcilable differences” and that Steve’s current wife, Marjorie, was not the cause of the split.

As you know, Steve Harvey is the author of “Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man” and “Straight Talk, No Chaser” which are both books geared toward women on how to get, keep and form lasting relationships with men. Steve, being the ‘relationship guru’ that he is, went on to discuss his definition of a ‘real man’, stating that real men can not live without women. I concur.

“I plan on filing for divorce in the next couple of weeks. It’s a new year and I just want to put this behind me,” Jennifer tells Life & Style exclusively. “He doesn’t know exactly when I’m going to do it. He’s just waiting for me to pull the trigger.”

Despite Eric admitting to cheating with numerous women, Jennifer didn’t want to give up on their marriage:

“I really wanted it to work and believed he would change. This whole lifestyle is dysfunctional; it’s not a typical marriage. The bad just started to outweigh the good,” says Jennifer. Especially when reports of a love child surfaced last summer. “I wasn’t distraught about it, but I really felt bad for the child.”

So, what’s the plan for Jennifer post divorce?:

“I just want to live comfortably and move on, get it over with,” she said. “I definitely will not put up with this type of behavior ever again!”
