Matt Barnes was arrested yesterday as a routine ID check got out of hand. Matt was apparently out for a walk in a subburb of L.A. It has not been determined if he lived in the neighborhood or not. But was asked by Police to show I.D.
Barnes became upset when the officers found he had an outstanding warrant for driving on a suspended license. Then, officers say, he threatened to hurt one of the policemen. That is a crime in California.
He was arrested and held for 3 hours. He posted 51,000 dollars bail and given a court date.
Barnes was The Lakers best back up player this past season. He Averaged 8 pts. a game.
