Downtown Baltimore specifically in the areas of Canton, Fells Point, Greektown, Highlandtown, and McElderry Park has experienced a rash of robberies. Negative acts of violence have also caused more concern with the victimization of two people one on W. Lexington Street and the other on N. Calvert St.

Parts of Baltimore once thought to be safe are now recent focal points of crime.

According to Anthony Guglielmi police spokesman “We’ve identified a pattern of individuals that might be involved in several robberies, we have a good suspect description, and have reviewed surveillance video that’s been helpful. They’re in a very good position in terms of identifying who’s responsible.”

As citizens of Baltimore and residents what can we do to avoid being robbed and or hurt during a crime? This is not an official answer by more common sense.

1. Report suspicious behavior

2. Become active with neighborhood watch

3. Be very alert of your surroundings especially walking, jogging alone.
