Major Harris, who is known for his R&B classic “Love Won’t Let Me Wait” passed away Friday at a Richmond hospital from congestive heart and lung failure,.
Harris, a Richmond, VA native was 65. He was a former member of the Delfonics. He joined the Delfonics in the early 1970s.
He left the group in 1974 and recorded a string on R&B singles, including “Love Won’t Let Me Wait,” which peaked at No. 5 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.
