A 13-year-old who was adopted and wanted newborn photos is getting national attention after the photos were posted on Facebook.
The 13-year-old’s adopted family created “new” newborn photos of Latrell Higgins, who was adopted at 10-years-old.
Kelli Higgins, a photographer in Florida, adopted Latrell and his sister two years ago. Earlier this month, the family was talking at the dinner table when the subject of newborn photography came up.
Higgins, a professional photographer, said Latrell mentioned he wanted newborn photos of himself. One of her other children thought it would be fun to recreate a newborn session with Latrell, who was born on Aug. 2, 1999.
The next day, they did just that – they posted a birth announcement on Facebook that read:
“Here’s my sweet not so little Newborn! His name is Latrell and weighs 112lbs 
“.
The photo has been shared thousands of times on Facebook.
