This story makes me sad because I remember when he was on top of the world. Yeah he was a little crazy but he was so different and talented for the period of time the 60’s and 70’s when this country was going through so much. He took us higher, made us feel good and made us look at ourselves. Unfortunately like so many other entertainers and sports figures he trusted the wrong people that took advantage of his weaknesses. And it’s no secret his was drugs. As a result they ripped him for millions and to this day he’s penniless and living in a van in Los Angeles. He tried recently to fight back but lost his court of appeals case as a result losing his rights to millions that was ripped off from him to read more click here.
