Due to the recent violence surge in Baltimore city since this weekend weekend were 36 people were shot, 14 of those dead, Community activist Munir Bahar is organizing a 300-man march to end the violence.
They are calling on community organizer, the youth, business professionals, concern citizen and anybody who is concern about the violence that has been going on in Baltimore to come out to support this event. To date there have been 116 homicides in Baltimore city for the year, 14 of those happen this week when 36 people were shot since last Friday June 21, 2013.
Tonight they will be having a planning meeting where they will discuss how you can be involved, the time and location of the March. Women are encourage to attend the planning meeting. However the July 5th event only men 16 and up are invited to March.
Munir Bahar is a community activist that started the COR mentoring program that engages adolescents and young adults males in a martial arts training class that supports physical, mental, spiritual, and social development.
