Jacque Reid talks to Kimberly Allers Seals about this week’s celebration of National Black Breastfeeding Week and their goal to encourage other moms to breast feed. She also talks about a nationally coordinated ‘lifting of black babies’ on August 29th across several cities.
“We’re really excited. It’s the first ever National Baby Lift Up. If there eight months old or eight years old, if you can lift them up, bring them. We really wanted to do something uplifting, literally. We really wanted to focus on the powering nature of breast feeding,” Allers Seals said.
