Justice seems to be few and far between for victims of police brutality; thankfully one officer won’t get away with his heinous actions.

Last May, William Cunningham parked in front of his home in Bowie, Maryland. Officer Jenchesky Santiago approached Cunningham and said that he had parked illegally.

Santiago pushed Cunningham away from his door while saying “Get back over there, get back in the car.” He then proceeded to place his gun at Cunningham’s head as well as inside his mouth.

When Cunningham mades it to his car, he puts his hands in the air then behind his back, all the while Santiago still has the gun on the victim’s body, seemingly with the intent to shoot.

‘I dare you to f***ing fight me, son,’ says the officer.

The incident is caught on video by Cunningham’s cousin and abruptly ends when Santiago tells him to stop and get out of the car. Once the footage went viral, Santiago was suspended. He was charged and has since been convicted of the following: first and second degree assault, misconduct in office and the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence.

In a statement regarding the incident obtained by The Daily Mail, Prince George County Maryland, Chief of Police Mark Magaw said, “The actions Officer Santiago chose to take that day are his alone. His behavior is flagrant, appalling and isolated. His actions are among the worst I’ve seen as Chief of Police and that will be taken into account when I make a decision about his employment.”

Santiago will serve a mandatory minimum sentence of at least five years without parole for the inappropriate use of his firearm. The additional assault charges may result in total sentence of 45 years. Stay tuned for the latest developments.
