Earlier this year, Deon Kipping announced that he’d been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and asked for prayers. Almost a year later, he’s still asking for prayers, but the cancer is gone.

“I just wanted to let the world know…. I BEAT CANCER!!!!!” he wrote on Instagram on October 27. “I have a few more hurdles to get over in regards to this process…. But I wanted to share the best news I’ve heard in a while….I Am Cancer Free!!!”

Cancer didn’t stop Deon from being a great father, traveling or singing. In fact, it solidified just how strong he is and what faith really looks like.
Lamentations 3:22-24: Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘Therefore I hope in Him!’
“At the end of the day, God did what he said he was going to do. And it could not have happened without your prayers and support,” Kipping said in the video below.
Deon Kipping joined Anthony Brown at his album release concert over the summer in New York City at SOBs, where the entire audience stretched their hands to pray for Kipping. There, Kipping also sang his testimony – months before he knew he was cancer-free. It’s good to see continued prayer prevail.
