Kamala Harris Taps Beyoncé’s Track As Presidential Campaign Song

Exclusive: Beyoncé gives Kamala Harris permission to use her song ‘Freedom’ for her presidential campaign
Vice President Kamala Harris is making a lot of headlines right now. And Monday evening, she made a grand entrance at her campaign headquarters. Walking out to Beyoncé’s powerful song “Freedom,” she made a statement.
And VP Harris used a particular part of Bey’s song, for her entrance. She walked out to the following lyrics: “Freedom, Freedom / Where are you? / ‘Cause I need freedom, too / I break chains all by myself / Won’t let my freedom rot in hell / Hey! I’m a keep running / ‘Cause a winner don’t quit on themselves.”
Now, they were able to use the song after her team got the green light from Beyoncé’s representatives just hours before she walked out.
And it won’t be the last time you hear it during her run, they got the ok to use the song throughout her presidential campaign.
Freedom, a track from Beyoncé’s 2016 album “Lemonade,” has become an anthem for many social movements. The song, featuring Kendrick Lamar, will now be a part of VP Kamala’s Presidential Campaign Soundtrack.
Harris’s campaign is off to an electrifying start.
