Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Stephanie Mills and Chaka Khan have combined commanding musical forces to present The Queens – 4 Legends Tour. With the spring segment already completed and now on a short hiatus, the tour has been nothing short of an extremely euphoric, soul-stirring experience! Black Promoter’s Collective (BPC), the masterminds behind this and many other phenomenal tours, gathered the crème de la crème of nostalgic R&B and it has the internet buzzing with social media users vowing to go all out and buy tickets to see the show in multiple cities.

There are so many amazing things about The Queens- 4 Legends Tour. First, you have REAL singers! These beautiful legends are not lip synching or using autotune, but they are going tour stop to tour stop using their pure God-given talent to stir up every emotion and create a sentimental unforgettable evening while delivering smash hit after hit.

Gladys Knight, who is now 81, looks fabulous and wowed the crowd with her never-ending smile, charismatic conversation, and powerhouse vocals that left the audience breathless. Reaching back in time to sing hits such as “You’re The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me”, “If I Were Your Woman”, and “Midnight Train to Georgia”, Ms. Knight proved to be worthy of the standing ovation she received for a spectacular performance where the only flaw was that the performance was too short! However, I must fairly add that any amount of time she would have been given would have been labeled “too short” as many of us could sit and listen to her sing; and the only amount of time deemed appropriate is “forever!”

Can we talk about one of the most sophisticated production transitions between sets? As the Gladys Knight band remained in place at the conclusion of her set, the entire platform they stood on slowly rotated clockwise and while the band disappeared into the darkness of the backstage, what then enters into the spotlight is Stephanie Mills’ band and singers. The segue was absolutely seamless from a production standpoint with every instrument and person already in place in a matter of seconds! Black Promoters Collective made sure not to waste a minute of time throughout the evening – which is commendable and appreciated!

Before Stephanie Mills appears on stage, one of the most heartwarming moments is when her son Farad, who is dressed to impress – in place and in step with the singers, blares her introduction: “Ladies and Gentleman, Ms. Stephanie Miiiiiiills!” The proud Mom and Legend then enters the spotlight. Stephanie brings the energy, the joy and the familiar tunes that everyone wants to sing along to. Every song is a favorite. She belts out the

sentimental “Home” from the WIZ, the upbeat 80’s classic “I Never Knew Love Like This Before” and a crowd favorite – a song written by her good girlfriend Ms. A’ngela Winbush, “I Learned To Respect The Power of Love”

Chaka Khan graces the stage with her unique fashion style, high energy, and nostalgic Funk music. Never disappointing and always leaving applauding fans wanting more, she delivered mega hits such as “Tell Me Something Good”, “Ain’t Nobody” and her remake of Prince’s “I Feel For You.” It seems the song line “Chak – Chak – Chaka – Chaka Khan – Chaka Khan – Chaka Khan” always has the same rousing effect as the last call on the dance floor where everyone feels they MUST get up on this one song – even if you didn’t get up all night! The infectious force is just as incredible as her beauty and talent!

Patti LaBelle has been bringing down the house from city to city and has performed on all tour stops with the exception of Baltimore, Maryland where she had a prior commitment. The internet has been buzzing with her soulful performances which have included her signature hits and her trademark acts of kicking off her shoes as well as passing out her famous favorite white lily flowers.

The next segment of The Queens – 4 Legends tour begins in the fall and these well-loved powerhouses are gearing up to deliver all over again. Be sure to catch this tour – it’s well worth any travel and time spent and will truly make your musical soul happy!
