Last night, Baltimore’s City Council passed a bill that would increase minimum wage to $15 by the year 2022.  The bill was passed with an 11-3 vote.  It is now the decision of Mayor Catherine Pugh to either sign or veto the bill.

Johns Hopkins University has made history with the residency of Nancy Abu-Bonsrah.  The Ghana native is their first black female neurosurgeon.  

Baltimore City Mayor Catherine Pugh stated that she wants all top city officials to live in the city.  Do you agree or disagree?

Former Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon released a statement that she will not seek a recount of Baltimore primary election results where she lost the deomocratic mayoral nomination to Senator Catherine Pugh. However, she will continue to press for answers over election irregularities.

Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of the Baltimore Uprising.  Ironically, Baltimore police shot a 13-year-old that was carrying a toy gun, yesterday.  While the teen was shot, his injuries are not life threatening.  This has sparked a debate in Baltimore over police training and parental responsibility.  What are your thoughts?
