Baltimore City Health Commissioner Dr. Letitia Dzirasa issued a Code Red extreme heat alert for July 21-24.

Mail-in ballots must be in the drop boxes, a polling place, or have it postmarked by 8 p.m. on Tuesday when polls close.

July 19 is Maryland's Primary Election Day and this will be one of the most impactful for the state in recent years. 

The new number, 988, replaces the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and Maryland's 211. Though the new line is now live, the old numbers will also remain operational. 

Baltimore Police announced that they have made an arrest in connection to the murder of Timothy Reynolds. 

BARCS said that though daily intakes have increased, adoptions have slowed and the shelter is left with limited resources available to care for the animals. 

Baltimore County Public School System is looking to hire more teachers ahead of the 2022-2023 academic school year in an effort to help ease the impacts of the nationwide teacher shortage.
