For look one, Carr rocked a monochromatic blue, leather ensemble with standout shoulder detail and a detachable train. At the Hype Hair installment she served ‘Autumn chic’ in a purple, yellow and silver pant set with matching trench coat for look two. The singer gave boss babe for look three in a pinstriped mini dress at the Fashion Bomb Daily show. The last look was inspired by the Empire State with additions of quintessential New York streetwear, a Yankees snapback and Timbaland-style high heel boots.
The fashionista and recording artist brings inspiration on and off the runway with her endeavors in ministry and business. Earning eight career Billboard no. 1’s before the age of 21, which includes her hit singles, “You’re Bigger” and “You Will Win,” she has established herself as a staple in the gospel community. The Recording Academy (Grammys), Gospel Music Academy (Stellar Awards), and the Gospel Music Association (Dove Awards) agree. All three institutions have nominated and/or awarded the young star for her contributions to the genre.

Her love for music was given another opportunity to blossom when she became the newest host of the midday show on the country’s top inspiration station,
Praise 102.5 in Atlanta. This year she celebrated three years on the platform. Praise 102.5 is also home to Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell, the Willie Moore Jr. Show, and The Nightly Spirit with Darlene McCoy.
Praise 102.5’s Program Director Derek Harper said of the young star, “Jekalyn is a dynamic young lady who represents the new age of inspirational artists. We are happy that Praise 102.5 is the platform through which she can now bring inspiration, entertainment & information to the masses daily.”
Carr’s newest album, “The Inspiration Project” is on brand for the artist as it is an embodiment of innovativeness. Through Waynorth Music, she partnered with this generation’s diverse gospel talent to release a collaborative record. The album features contemporary group Jericho Worship, and solo artists Emoni Wilkins, Charisse Mackey, JD Fomby, and Pastor Tim Rogers. Jericho Worship’s first single “Song of Thanksgiving” is already proving to be a hit as it was included on Apple Music’s “Best New Songs” list the week of release.
