Philadelphia radio legend Joe “Butterball” Tamburro has died at age 70. He spent most of career as a jock and later manager at WDAS in Phildelphia.
In recent years , he had problems with his hips and heart.
“Butter” started broadcasting in 1962 and has been an Icon in Philly radio since.
Also in Philadelphia, the O’jays conga player, Rikki Hicks, passed last night. He was with the O’jays for 30 years.
