We all say we will NEVER do what I parents did to us!!! However, the trick is as we get older we do take on our parent’s quirks.
What do you do today that your parents did that you thought you’d never do?
- I always told my parents “I’ll never spank my children, I’ll be the coolest mom ever” — that has changed :)
- Call my kids by each other’s names
- Wearing head scarves and rollers in the street thinking I am cute
- Threatening to “take my kids out of this world” because I brought them in
- Licking my fingers and cleaning my kid’s faces
- Talking about how tight my budget is with my kids
- Dancing crazy and embarrassing them in front of their friends
- Talking to myself. Thought my mom was crazy for doing it.
- Looking forward to and sometimes even saying “an empty house”
