Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly will get a Lifetime Acheivement award this weekend from BET. Frankie’s real name is Howard. He got the nick name Frankie from his friends back in the day, because his idol was Frankie Lymon. The group got started in their hometown of Philadelphia. They packed up and went to California where they ran into Marvin Gaye. Marvin helped them get a contract and they were on their way.
