No charges against Baltimore City Offices in the death of Anthony Anderson, the three officers were suspended with pay during the investigation.
By witness account, police used of excessive brutality during a East Baltimore drug bust. 46 year old Anthony Anderson father of three sustained injuries causing his death from the arrest. In fact, an autopsy report revealed “eight broken ribs, lung bruises and spleen lacerations. The autopsy report concluded that it was blunt force trauma that ended Anthony Anderson’s life.
Initial police report states that Mr. Anderson died from ingesting drugs to avoid arrest.
Baltimore State’s Attorney Gregg Bernstein and Lawyers for the three city officers maintain they did nothing wrong and acted within legal guidelines.
The Family and community of this highly profiled case simply want justice. Baltimore city activist rallied for charges to be brought against the polices and want an external investigation.
