The death toll in Baltimore increased today by three with an early morning shooting in the 2200 block of N. Fulton. City Police are investigating and looking for any information into a  triple homicide that killed two women and a man in the troubled West Baltimore neighborhood.

The shooting occurred near an elementary school district (Westside Elementary) creating uproar in the community among residents.

Since the start of the new year the West Baltimore area  including streets and communities near Coppin State University and Mondawmin Mall have had more then there share of criminal activity.

  • Man shot in Baltimore Sunday night after two earlier homicides

According to an officer at the scene earlier said “All the shell casings and projectiles are within the house, and it doesn’t appear at this point that there’s forced entry.”

Police are looking for a motive and at least one assailant with a leg injury, perhaps suffered at the time of the shooting.

Due to the rate of violence police units will be heightened to include foot petrol both day and night.

Residents of the neighborhood have almost accepted that shootings as prevalent in the area. But not without concern and the need for a safer living environment to raise their families. Not to mention a demand for more non corrupted police presence.

One resident stated: “I ain’t trying to get used to it, but it’s a reality, too,”another said: people feel trapped

“We can’t afford to live in other areas, and it’s sad that we have to be subjected to this because we can’t live other places,”  “A bullet don’t have no name. I’m always aware of my surroundings.”

Anyone with information leading to the arrest of those involved should call 911 immediately.
