Target says it will “phase out” the celebrity chef’s cookware and merchandise in its stores and online. Molly Snyder, a Target spokeswoman said, “Once the merchandise is sold out, we will not be replenishing inventory.”
Target follows pharmaceutical manufacturer Novo Nordisk and Home Depot in announcing severed ties with Deen today.
Home Depot, which sold Paula Deen-branded cookware and kitchen products only online, said it pulled the products off its website on Wednesday.
Novo Nordisk, which had teamed with Deen to promote the diabetes drug Victoza, said Thursday it and Deen have “mutually agreed to suspend our patient education activities for now.”
