If you do not have health insurance because your un-employed or your job does not offer it, Today you can sign to receive free or discounted health coverage, even if you have pre-exiting conditions. Open enrollment starts now the coverage kicks in Jan 2014. Please keep in mind that Starting 2014, most people must have health coverage or pay a fine. Laws That effect Maryland Residents:
- The police can pull you over if your talking on your hand held phone and you will pay a fine. Even if your not breaking any other traffic rules.
- Drivers, Passengers and Backseat Riders have to buckle up or face a fine.
- The street drug known as Spice, K2, or Potpourri is now a criminal offense if your caught with it.
- New Gun laws bans assault weapons and large magazines, in addition to requiring a safety course of fingerprints and $50 for handgun purchases.
