It seems like our teens are under attack in the city. How are you keeping your teen safe in Baltimore?

  • Don’t have kids, but I would say walk away, keep it moving. Parents need to work hard to put their kids in positive situations, neighborhoods Everything. Teach them to respect authority and to avoid problems, trouble and the police . Be leaders in any group.
  • Telling them to stay out the streets is not enough because the violence is everywhere. The best we can do at this point is keep them in constant prayer that everyday they walk out the doors of their home they return in the same manner. It’s no hiding from the dangers of these streets as innocent kids were killed this week visiting their grandma & in the comforts of their own home. Pray…pray…& pray some more.
  • Moving out of the City. Not a place for young black males.
  • I don’t personally have a teenager yet. However I suggest our teens stay off the streets if they don’t have positive reasons for being out there. This responsibility

falls with the parents and adults also because we have to provide opportunities and safe havens for our teens to go and be a part of.

  • Mace and Self Defense classes
  • I wish I could wrap my kids in a bubble to keep them safe. Unfortunately, I cannot. I used to say be careful where you go but now that isn’t good enough. Violence is on the streets, in schools, on mta, in our homes, with friends & family. We just have to pray that our kids return the way they left.
