Get into the holiday spirit at the Kile’s World 2nd Annual “Give Thanks” 5K Run to take place at Chastain Park Pavilion (135 W. Wieuca Road) in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, November 29th.

The event will take place in partnership with Black Girls Run, an online community that inspires black women who run and encourages more black women to run, while motivating black women to practice a healthy lifestyle. Runners, walkers, and joggers are all welcome to exercise for a cause around the beautiful trails at scenic Chastain Park. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the foundation’s art-based camps and workshops which include singing, dance, art and illustration, and music production digital media. After the run, event attendees will receive free T-Shirts, hot chocolate, cookies, photos and prizes.

In the summer of 2012, Kile Glover, was only 11-years old when a tragic jet-ski accident on Atlanta’s Lake Lanier ended his short life. Channeling her grief of the loss of her son, Tameka created Kile’s World Foundation, which benefits children of the Atlanta community, but also honors Kile’s effervescent spirt and reflects his deep love of the performing arts. “Kile is and will always be my muse,” says Raymond of her son. “He inspires me to do great things both artistically and in general to help others. He was a guiding genius.”

Staying true to the foundation’s mission statement, ‘Gifting children with endless possibilities of creative endeavor through applied, fine and performing arts,’ the goal of Kile’s World Foundation is to ensure that children have a nurturing environment where inquisitiveness is encouraged, knowledge is shared and freedom to hone their crafts is assured. The foundation has created such a buzz that it is currently supported by award winning superstar Beyonce through her non-profit Beygood.
