With the release of his 13th studio album, The Buffet, controversial R&B artist R. Kelly has been making his media rounds. The video went viral when Kelly walked off the set of a promo interview with Huff Post Live after the interviewer grilled him on his controversial past.
Recently, Kells agreed to open up to GQ Magazine in an in-depth interview where he addressed numerous topics including his struggle with literacy, being sexually abused as a child, and the long-standing speculations of him having a penchant for underage girls. He also defends Bill Cosby against the numerous rape allegations. Unlike the Huff Post Live interviewer, the GQ journalist approached the interview with integrity, objectivity, and the sensitivity necessary to conduct this type of interview.
After reading the R. Kelly interview you may walk away no further clarity on the burning question of his guilt or innocence but it makes for a good read and will give you insight into what has molded the man.
