You may remember actor Wendell Pierce from his role as Detective Bunk Moreland on “The Wire.” But Pierce isn’t just a “taker.” He’s utilizing his resources and influence to bring jobs to Baltimore. According to reports, Pierce announced that he is investing in a $20 million apartment complex in the arts district of Baltimore. A portion of the residences will be offered to artists at a discounted rate and the artists will be able to display their work in the building’s galleries. A certain amount of construction jobs for the complex will also be allotted to Baltimore residents.
