“X-Factor” winner Alexandra Burke broke the news via Twitter that her mother Melissa Bell of Soul II Soul passed away.

She wrote a heartfelt messages saying, “Our beautiful mother gained her wings on Monday 28th August 2017, a day that has changed our lives forever.”
The singer was only 53 years old and according to Essence had a major success in the early 90’s and later became a solo artist.
Later she became the leading lady for Soul Explosion.
There hasn’t been any new about how Bell passed, but we are keeping Bell’s family in our thoughts and prayers.
