Family, freinds and fans of Chuck Brown will gather today at the Howard Theater in Washington, D.C. for his viewing. Chuck died last week at the age of 75. He is known as The Godfather of Go-Go music. A genre that was enjoyed in many cities around the country, but there is no place on earth where it was worshipped more than in Washington, D.C.
Go-Go music , to me, is a funky mixture of R & B , Carribean and Jazz.
