The nominations for the 2013 Academy Awards have just been released. Making it on the list is 8 year old actress Quvenzhane Wallis who was nominated for Best Actress for her role in “Beasts of the Southern Wild.” Wallis becomes the youngest person ever to be nominated in a major category.
Beast of the Southern Wild is a story about a young hero (Wallis) who must learn how to survive unstoppable catastrophes in order to save her father.
