It was a lot of historical moments happening at Super Bowl XLVII. First never before in history two brothers Jim Harbaugh coach of  the San Francisco 49ers and  John Harbaugh with the Baltimore Raven competed against each other. Second this was Ray Lewis last game. Here are some other highlights:

Jennifer Hudson sang “America the Beautiful” accompanied by the kids’ chorus from Sandy Hook Elementary.

Alicia Keys‘  rolled her piano onto the field and singed her rendition of the National Anthem.

The first half of the 2013 Super Bowl was full of Baltimore Ravens highlights. Quarterback Joe Flacco found multiple targets for big plays.

Jacoby Jones, jumped to his feet, spun like an egg-beater away from a would be tackle then froze Chris Culliver with a stutter step and outsprinted him to the left side of the endz one for a 56 yard touchdown. Then scored a second touchdown when he caught the opening kick-off the second half at the back of his own end zone and sprinted nearly untouched down the field for 108 yards, tying the NFL record for longest scoring play and put his team ahead 21-3 in the waning moments of the half.

Beyoncé silenced the haters with an amped-up halftime show. We saw fire, crazy outfits and a cool reunion with her Destiny’s Child bandmates Michelle Williamsand Kelly Rowland.

The Black Out for nearly 30 minutes

Within 10 minutes, the 49ers had seized control of the game, scoring 17 points. San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick had his fair share of good plays, too, but none of them got his team into the end zone. He was precise with his throws, for the most part, but a costly interception to Ed Reed helped shift momentum completely in the Ravens’ favor.

Joe Flacco took home MVP honors in this oddest of Super Bowls, thanks his three-touchdown night.
