Advisor and former U.N. Ambassador, Susan Rice was named  as National Security Advisor today by President Obama. Rice  replaces Tom Donilon. Filling Rice vacated position as U.N. Ambassador is another highly qualified and less contested female … Samantha Power.

In the recent realignment of foreign policy administrative staff, Adviser Rice comes under heavy scrutiny because of the attacks on Benghazi and the reasons offered during hearings. Republicans John McCain disagrees with President Obama’s appointment of Susan Rice but stated he will make efforts to work together.  As well as, Sen. Rand Paul of  Kentucky seeking the republican party 2016 nomination for President was sharply more critical to the point of anger.

Regardless of the divisive feelings of the GOP President Obama has selected the most powerful and skilled person for the job … he had this to say: “I am absolutely thrilled that she’ll be back at my side leading my national security team in my second term,”

“I’m deeply honored and humbled to serve our country as your national security adviser,”

Controversy surrounding Rice’s role in the Benghazi explanations of attack basically killed her chances of becoming Secretary of State, consideration was  met with such fury!

It is not with surprise that Republicans have continued the political suppression of helping the President move this country forward.

Rice has been praised for her role in President Obama’s administration, she has his confidence.
